Run into town “right quick”

You live here because you want to.

At least, I hope you do.

You have a choice about where you live, and if you’ve chosen Southern Oklahoma, I think that’s something worth appreciating.

Because there’s something pretty special about living in a place where you can run into town “right quick” and three hours later you’ve seen six people you know, had coffee with two of them, caught up on somebody’s kids, and somehow ended up buying a bale of hay.

That’s not wasting time.

That’s community.

So maybe this weekend, take a minute to notice the place you’ve chosen to call home. Say hello to somebody. Shop local. Go to the event. Sit a little longer. Be part of it.

Because the best thing about a community isn't that it's perfect.

It's that we get to help make it what it is.
