About me

I founded Erica G. Consulting to support organizations and individuals doing meaningful work who need writing and strategy that are clear, grounded, and aligned with real goals—and who value a collaborative partner that brings both rigor and energy to the work.

‍ ‍I am a founder and organizational change leader who has spent my career helping mission-driven organizations turn vision into action during periods of growth and transition.

My career has consistently centered on change: launching new initiatives, strengthening organizations through periods of growth, and helping people navigate transition with clarity and confidence. My background spans education, economic and workforce development, nonprofit systems, and community-based work, where I have partnered with schools, nonprofits, and small organizations facing limited capacity, complex requirements, and evolving expectations.

Two of my proudest professional chapters reflect this focus on change from the ground up. As a Girls on the Run council founder, I helped build an organization from vision to reality, establishing systems, securing funding, supporting coaches and volunteers, and expanding access for girls and communities. As a Work Ready Organization (WRO) leader, I worked at the intersection of programs, partners, and people, guiding organizational growth, strengthening operations, and responding to shifting workforce and community needs. Both roles required translating mission into action, aligning stakeholders, and leading through uncertainty - skills that continue to shape my consulting work today.

Grant writing sits at the center of my practice because funding is often the catalyst, and the constraint, during periods of change. I help organizations secure resources by translating programs into clear, compelling narratives aligned with funder priorities, measurable outcomes, and community impact. My approach emphasizes internal clarity and long-term funding readiness, not just winning a single grant.

I also support organizational development and change efforts more broadly, helping leaders clarify direction, set priorities, and move plans into action. In addition, I provide digital communications support for small businesses, including website content, email marketing, and community-facing platforms such as Facebook, as well as professional and personal writing for individuals, including resumes and biographies.

While my work is strategic and results-oriented, my style is approachable, enthusiastic, and human. I enjoy the work, I care deeply about the people behind it, and I believe organizations do their best work when clarity, trust, and a sense of momentum are part of the process.

I am based in Ardmore, Oklahoma, and my work is grounded in a deep belief in community and positive intent. After finishing college, I made a deliberate decision to serve in the center of the country through AmeriCorps VISTA, wanting to be part of community-based work where I could learn, contribute, and grow.

I first came to Ardmore in 1998, where I worked in community capacity building through initiatives like Communities In Schools and Learn and Serve America. I was welcomed in a way that left a lasting impression, and that experience continues to shape how I show up in my work and why supporting this region and the people leading change within it, matters to me.

Over time, my work expanded into workforce and organizational development, supporting programs, partnerships, and systems at a broader level. I later earned my Master’s degree in Human Resources Administration from East Central University, further strengthening my ability to align people, strategy, and organizational goals.

Combined with my roots in Pennsylvania, this experience gives me a wide lens on how organizations and individuals grow, adapt, and serve their communities.

I work with clients locally, regionally, and nationally, supporting organizations, founders, and leaders wherever they are doing meaningful work.

Building Community

I supported the launch of Work Ready Oklahoma in Ardmore in May 2024 and worked directly as a coach, helping participants navigate personal change, build confidence, and plan for employment. By December 2025, Work Ready Ardmore had served nearly 200 community members, strengthening workforce readiness and community support.
